Eureka N-2 & Tri-Cor N2
Eureka N2 & Tri-Cor N2  are an excellent choice for welding forging components such as rams, sow blocks, die holders, die shanks, hammers bases and columns. It is also utilized in steel mills and in maintenance shops for welding general machine parts such as steel gears, large arbors and shafts.
Eureka N2 & Tri Cor N2 are a carefully balanced Molybdenum, Manganese, and Nickel alloy that has an as welded hardness of 18-23 HRC. This alloy displays high impact resistance and moderate abrasion resistance. The micro structure of ferrite and bainite promotes high crack resistance.

Eureka N-3 & Tri-Cor N3
 
Eureka N3 & Tri-Cor N3 are often used for the welding of forging dies when repairing standard die block metal in the temper two hardness range. It exhibits good wear characteristics and much greater crack resistance when compared to standard die block metal. It is utilized as an underlay alloy for crack sensitive areas in the bottom of impressions. It is also utilized in the repair of shanks and components such as rams, sow blocks and die holders where increased hardness and strength is required over that of the Eureka N-2 and Eureka 625.
Eureka N3 & Tri-Cor N3 is a carefully balanced Molybdenum, Manganese, and Nickel alloy that has an as welded hardness of 30-35 HRC and tempers up to 35-40 HRC. This alloy displays high impact resistance and moderate abrasion resistance. The micro structure of ferrite and bainite promotes high crack resistance.

Eureka 31 A.I.S.I. Type H-13
Eureka 31 is for the welding of H-11, H-12, and H-13 hot work tools and dies. Eureka 31 is an excellent choice for press forging type dies where high heat and abrasion are encountered. It is highly resistant to heat checking when subjected to alternating heating and cooling cycles. Several high volume forgings that demand the ultimate in weld metal mechanical properties for the forging industry are connecting rods, hand tools, sleeve yoke, and cam shafts. These applications are relatively shallow and for the most part small. Other forged products would include earth moving equipment and farm implements such as pipe wrenches, crankshafts, hooks, and cam rings.
Eureka 31 is an A.I.S.I. type H-13 hot working tool steel alloy that is extremely tough. This alloy displays excellent retention of hardness at elevated temperatures, yielding excellent abrasion resistance. It also displays good impact resistance imparting good notch toughness and has moderate wear resistance. Eureka 31 has an as welded hardness of 49 – 54 HRC.

Eureka 45 AWS ER80S-B6 in Solid MIG Wire and TIG Rod forms
Eureka 45 is utilized where press and hammer forging dies are to be reclaimed or partially repaired and conventionally machined. Its properties exceed that of die block material but still remain machinable. It is also used as a tough build-up alloy when a higher alloy is to be deposited on top for increased wear at the flash line. It is also used on H-12 and H-13 tool steels where lower as welded hardness is required.
Eureka 45 is a tough Chromium, Molybdenum, and Tungsten grade of tool steel having excellent resistance to abrasion, heat checking and wear, yet still machinable as welded. This alloy can accept water spray while in service without excessive checking. This alloy would be classified as a medium hot working grade of tool steel.

Eureka 72 A.I.S.I. Type H-12
Eureka 72 is used for repairing or building of hot and cold trim and shearing dies, punches, extrusion dies and die casting dies. It is an excellent choice for press forging dies where high heat and abrasion are encountered. A typical application is the automobile connecting rod forging. High volume forgings that demand the ultimate in weld metal mechanical properties would be connecting rod, sleeve yoke, and hand tools. These applications are relatively shallow and usually high production. Other forged products would include earth moving equipment and farm implements, hooks and lever brake bands and other shallow impressions, such as hand tools, pipe wrenches, and crankshafts.
Eureka 72 is a H-12 hot working tool steel alloy. It has excellent hot hardness, wear resistance and displays reasonable impact resistance. The as welded hardness is 50 – 55 HRC

Eureka 78 (Modified Type H-12)

Eureka 88 A.I.S.I. Type H-19
Eureka 88 is used on hot punches and trim dies, hot extrusion dies, hot press forging dies and forging die inserts. It is used in areas where severe heat and abrasion will be encountered. Some forged dies would be hand tools, gears, discs and connecting rods. This alloy performs well in shallow impressions and is often use as an overlay or hard facing alloy.
Eureka 88 has an as welded hardness of 55 – 60 HRC. The weld deposits are very resistant to wear at elevated temperatures, display good thermal fatigue resistance, and retains good hot hardness. This alloy is an A.I.S.I. type H-19 hot work tool steel containing high levels of Chromium, Cobalt, Tungsten, and Vanadium.

Eureka 450 & Tri-Cor 450
Eureka 450 & Tri-Cor 450 are used for the welding of forging die impressions in both hammer and press forging dies requiring strength and toughness. In many cases it is used in the lower half of impressions which are then overlaid with a higher wear resistant alloy. Typical applications are crankshaft dies, connecting rods and yokes.
Eureka 450 & Tri-Cor 450 is a martensitic stainless steel Chromium, Molybdenum, and Nickel hot working alloy. It has excellent crack resistance, moderate wear resistance and displays reasonable impact resistance. The as welded hardness is 44-48 HRC.

Eureka 551
Eureka 551 is an excellent choice for press forging type dies where abrasion and high heats are encountered. Typical applications would be high volume shallow impressions such as connecting rods and hand tools. It also performs well on punches and shears.  
Eureka 551 is a high wearing Chromium, Cobalt, Tungsten, Molybdenum, and Vanadium hot working alloy. It is designed to resist extreme metal to metal wear. This alloy is highly resistance to softening at elevated temperatures. This alloy has an as welded hardness of 43-50 HRC and a large secondary hardening affect after tempering.

Eureka 640 & Tri-Cor 40
Eureka 640 & Tri-Cor 40 are often used for the welding of forging dies when upgrading from standard die block metal in the temper two hardness range. It is utilized in the repair of components such as rams, sow blocks and die holders where increased hardness and wear is required over that of the Eureka N-2, Eureka 625, and Eureka 635. It is utilized as an underlay alloy in crack sensitive areas often in the bottom of impressions. 
Eureka 640 & Tri-Cor 40 is a carefully balanced Chromium, Molybdenum, and Nickel alloy that has an as welded hardness of 38-43 HRC. This alloy displays high impact properties and moderate abrasion resistance. The major micro constitute consists of bainite which displays high crack resistance.

Eureka 650 & Tri-Cor 650 are used for the welding of medium to shallow hammer dies and most any type of press dies. It is often used in connecting rods, crankshafts and yokes. It is good for intricate impressions that require high strength and good wear resistance. It is often used as an overlay on top of Eureka 450. 
Eureka 650 & Tri-Cor 650 is a modified martensitic stainless steel that has an as welded hardness of 50-55 HRC. This alloy has good hot hardness and is resistant to heat checking. The high chromium content promotes good resistance to oxidation at elevated temperatures.

Eureka 850
Eureka 850 is used for the welding of medium to shallow hammer dies and most any type of press dies. It is often used in connecting rods, crankshafts and yokes. It is good for intricate impressions that require high strength and good wear resistance. It is often used as an overlay on top of Eureka 450. 
Eureka 850 is an extremely wear resistant Chromium, Cobalt, and Molybdenum hot working alloy. This alloy displays excellent retention of hardness at elevated temperatures yielding excellent abrasion resistance. It also displays moderate impact resistances. As welded hardness is 40-45 HRC and age hardens up to 57-62 HRC.
